Who’s ready for the second installment of PNC Ironclad Challenge held at PNC Arena?! After last year’s success, the rink has invited us back for our next event!!

The Ironclad Event will be held on Sunday, November 20th – time still TBD. Last year was early afternoon - which is our target with the PNC. Registration will be released in phases, so look out for your email, mchlinc.com and Spond. 

Once again, we will need to sell Carolina Hurricane tickets to secure the ice slot. There are four different ticket options, and the two games to choose from are New Jersey Devils @ Hurricanes, December 20th or Philadelphia Flyers @ Carolina Hurricanes December 23rd. Additional tickets are available for purchase at group pricing. Please email info@mchlinc.com for instructions on purchasing additional tickets.

This Ironclad will be like nothing we have ever tried.

We will host a party on January 27th at 7 PM. This will double as the initial registration. There are four blocks of ice that we have booked. Each player will play in 2 blocks. Each player will participate in one “night” session and one “sunrise” session. The first group will start with a night session at approximately 9:30 pm on Friday. The second group will start at about 4-5 AM (depending on how long it takes us to set up). The second group will then begin their second session Saturday night around 9:30 pm, followed by the first group around 4-5 AM the following morning. We should know how long the setup takes after the first session and give more accurate start times so you all can get your beauty sleep.

As this is an accumulation competition, we will disclose the results at an “Awards” ceremony. Yes, we will have two parties this weekend, so you may want to take an extra day off from work! There will be 4v4 hockey in one section, another area will have a shootout, and the last will have a skills challenge, all running simultaneously! This is why we need sponsors!

MCHL is proud to provide a clinic for Beer Leaguers. Whether you play on a current MCHL team or not, here is an opportunity to be coached by one of Raleigh's finest goalie coaches. These clinics will be limited to 8 goalies and fill up quickly!

MCHL has been in talks with the Checkers and the Bojangles Coliseum to put on an Ironclad event at this rink. We are getting close to locking down a date. Check back often for more updates!
