The details:

All teams should be prepared to play the morning of their block dates

Only rostered members are allowed on the bench. 

All teams are allowed to have only one player "playing down"

Example - C team can only roster 1 A/B player

Adult Tournament Format

Every Team is guaranteed three RR games

Maximum of 16 skaters per team (including goalie)

3 (12-min) periods - Stopped time

3-minute warm ups

3 round robin divisional games

Each team is permitted 1 timeout per game

Red line icing, "tag up" offside

Icing is legal when on Penalty Kill

Goalies will switch ends after each period

2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie

If the Championship game results in a tie, there will be a three-minute (3-on-3) overtime. If the game is still tied, a 3 player shootout will commence

If a round robin/consolation game results in a tie, the game will go directly to a 3 player shootout

Maximum of six-goal differential for divisional round robin. All games will go to run time once six-goal differential is reached

Tie breaker after divisional round robin (head to head, goal differential, fewest goals allowed, fewest penalties)

If a team deliberately forfeits their last RR game they will be ineligible for playoffs

GGSU Opening!

Our dear friend Ben is not quite where he needs to be in his rehab to attend the GGSU clinic in New Jersey. This event will take place from June 18th-June 24th. We are looking for someone to either buy him out fully or split the week with someone else. This is a great clinic. 2 hours each day with AHL goalies, video review and a great meal after every session. Please let me know if you are interested in going. MCHL NC is excited to meet our members in the west finally. We are hoping to field two teams from NC for this multi-day event. There will be one day of our Ironclad format and one day where we will square off against one another for bragging rights and the prize!

We will be building a team or two for this tournament. Based on players attending is which level we will select for entry.

Jerseys are currently being designed for our travel teams and will be released soon!

Each team division is guaranteed three games (Friday and 2 Saturday) and the top teams advance to Championship Sunday (6 teams divisions will play semi-finals and followed by a championship game).

Entry starts at $175 with a loaner jersey and goes up with options such as Jerseys for purchase, travel, room, and board. Any funds collected for the carpool option will go to the people who end up being drivers.
