What to Expect!

Where do participants and fans park/enter?

We will enter the North end of the arena in the North Lot and through the Loading Dock.

  • Final Registration time is 90-minutes before the session starts. Please arrive as early as possible to get jerseys, and socks handed out. and verify paperwork is submitted to PNC. Any particpants that do not check in by this time may not be able to enter the arena.

  • Tailgating is allowed; however, any participants cannot consume alcohol before the event due to liability purposes. You are welcome to have a postgame event with some brews, though!

  • All skaters enter the ice at section 115. The away team locker rooms are not available as they will still be set up for visiting teams.

  • Particpant’s will use the Green Room, which can hold 16 to 20, dressing room #2 which can hold 8-12, and dressing room #3 for females as needed, or balance that out between the green room and dressing room #2. Dressing room # 1 is for rfs, and staff.

  • We will try to get individual pictures as we enter the ice. Please strike your pose and get on the ice as soon as possible so we don’t lose time.

  • The Session length is TBD but in the past it has been 90 minutes.

  • 2 Minute Warmup. We suggest stretching in the parking lot before hand.

  • The cost varies. We have five tiers available starting at $350.

    4 tickets to the Capitals vs Canes April 5th. You can choose which of the sections you would like to get tickets for.

  • 3 Minute Warmup

    6 Mini games, everyone plays each other once.

    Regular offsides

    Modified Icing - Intentional dump and chase is a stopped of play. Referees discretion. Any complaining is automatic penalty.

    Winner will be determined by Wins(2pts)+Ties(1pt)+Losses(0)-Penalties(1pt)

    Minor Penalties - 90 seconds in the box

    Major Penalties - Mouthing off at the ref is an automatic 5 minute penalty. Major Penalty or Fighting is subject to ejection immediately, possible league expulsion.

    Any penalties that are a result of intent to injure will be removed from the event immediately.

  • A: While 2 teams are playing the balance will be hanging out and “Hydrating” off the ice. We think this is a great way to get some social time among teams.

  • A: Goalies go to the Penalty box when not playing.

    Players stay on the bench for the duration. Time is limited so we need everyone to stay put.

  • Our scorekeeper for the event, will announce over the PA which teams are next with two minute remaining. We will also have the schedule listed on the events page. In addition, the second ref on the ice will let everyone know who is next when there is one minute left in the current game being played.

  • Winner will be determined by Wins(2pts)+Ties(1pt)+Losses(0)-Penalties(1pt)

    Scores will be accumulated over the course of the session.

    In the event of a tie we will run a simultaneous 5 skater shootout. The refs will line up 5 pucks on each blue line. Once the puck has been shot the next player can enter the zone with the puck. Rinse and repeat. RAPID FIRE!

  • A: It depends on how many skaters sign up. We have learned not to put a hard number on this.. With minimal skaters we typically, 8-10 Minutes. Trust us you will be exhausted by the end and feel like you played a double header.

  • A: Four Teams

  • Skate sharpening’s will be available upon request. Please comment in the game that you need your skates sharpened. We will always try to accommodate but please show up one hour before the game because we will stop around 60 minutes before the first game and can be prepaid on our website MCHL Store (mchlinc.shop)

  • A: Yes!!! Custom Jerseys are included with the price as long as paid by January 31st. If paid beyond January 31st you will still get a jersey to keep but you may be swimming in it, or squeezing into it. We will order a mix of LG/XL jerseys for any spots left over when we need to order by.

  • Yes. The deadline is the same for custom jerseys but we are able to accomodate or put on a later order.

    Merch - We will have some T-shirts for sale day of the event. Hoodies, Koozies and more will be available for purchase. These items are drop/ship and usually shipped within two weeks.

  • A: YES!!!!! Bottom line, skating on the same ice that the Canes play on is an amazing experience and we do our best to showcase each and every person!

  • MCHL will provide Beer and Non-alcoholic beverages post game.

    It is the policy of PNC to not allow intoxicated people on the ice. People have had a few beers before and been allowed in but consuming alcohol prior to the event is at the participants own risk.
