UPDATE: 6-22-2023 - Communication with Kasey has be scattered. Dylan had a couple of rough days. Please hold off on trying to visit for now. I will update again when I hear back from either Kasey or Dylan.
UPDATE: 6-17-2023 - Dylan is stable and recovering well. Lincoln, his son has strep.
“Here's as much of a story as I know. He was at our neighbor's house for guy's night, and one guy there was doing something with his sights on his pistol. We don't know/understand how the trigger went off accidentally, but Dylan was at the wrong place at the wrong time in the room. The bullet went through his right arm and entered his side and went through his liver. The surgeon said that the bullet was millimeters from his aortic valve which would have killed him. The surgeon said he should play the lottery, because he was so lucky the bullet missed so many vital arteries, organs, etc. Now we're just monitoring the liver to make sure there's no bile leaks. He has a large incision going up his abdomen, so it's at least a 6 week recovery for any heavy lifting. He's doing very well considering.”
